Set up your workspace

Setting up Intakes takes about a minute. Here’s what each choice does, and the one to get right.

Sign up with your email. Then confirm it with the code we send you.

A workspace is your business, so name it after your shop.

Time zone sets where your business day starts and ends, so “today” and “this month” mean your day.

Country decides which rules apply. In the US, that’s the Schedule C lines and the IRS mileage rate.

Currency is the one to get right. Every price and cost is in it, and once your first stock arrives, it can’t be changed.

Turn on Production only if you make what you sell. If you resell, leave it off, and you won’t see recipes or work orders.

If new stock goes straight onto your shelf, check this, and Intakes will offer to make it sellable as soon as it arrives.

And your workspace is ready for its first stock.
